Members of Milan’s Sri Lankan community recently took part in an intercultural event at the Church of Scientology, centred on peaceful coexistence, youth participation and common values. The meeting highlighted an intercultural values event in Milan, using the common-sense moral code written by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard as a basis for discussion.
Community representatives, families and young people reflected on the importance of respect, honesty, responsibility and peaceful coexistence in daily life. The presence of young participants gave the Diversity event a forward-looking character, connecting cultural identity with civic responsibility and respect for others.
Ivan Arjona noted that Europe’s strength is also found in families, communities and volunteers who help build trust across cultures. Across Europe, Scientology churches, missions and volunteers carry out community initiatives focused on education, prevention and neighbourhood-level support.
